Hero Heads is a local DC-based design and clothing company. More specifically, we are in Park View, just north of Howard University. Our mission is to allow you to 'wear your heart on your tee' with our unique, hand-drawn designs of inspirational heroes, like Harriet Tubman, Abraham Lincoln, Rosie the Riveter, and Frederick Douglas. We strive to be socially conscious and give back. 10% of proceeds of each design goes to a relevant charity (ex. Malcolm X Foundation).  

We are a growing DC-based small business looking for an energetic and creative paid intern who will help us with marketing, inventory, sales, business strategy, and partnership development. It is essential that the paid intern like and believe in the brand and it’s mission.

Ideally we are looking for someone who recently graduated that can work 25-30 hours/week. Weekends often involve vending at art and music festivals. Week days often involve inventory, fulfilling online and wholesale orders, marketing, and business development.  Desired experience and skills include:

• Degree in a related field (e.g. Marketing, Communications, Art, MBA, etc.);
• Interest and passion for entrepreneurship and art/design/fashion;
• Social Media - building/growing, creating content, influencers;
• Targeted online advertising (ex. Facebook or Google AdWords and SEO;
• Ability to help develop and implement a social media and overall marketing strategy;
• Computer savvy - in many ways;
• Strong writing and oral communication skills.
